TIMES UP! I Don’t Think You’re Ready For This Jelly

Ever since I-don’t-want-to-admit-when, I have been Lazy with a capital freaking L. No running, a bit of walking, not at all going to the gym. Basically I’ve been sucking large in the exercise department. That must change. Yanno, next week or so. Heh.
I have no good excuses. It’ s all Lazy FM, all day, all the time.
At BlogHer, I was lucky enough to be one of the brand ambassadors for Yummie Tummie and was given a couple to wear throughout the conference. They didn’t fit. They were too large, which YAY! for my ego. But boo cuz I couldn’t participate in the belly showing activities they had planned for us. See, if you are a Large (I am), you need to order the next size down in order for it to work properly. It has a panel that sucks in my (Costco-sized) muffintop, and I love how it smooths things out for me.
Yummie Tummie rectified the situation soon after the conference and I received my Medium Boyfriend tank in black. Oh Em Gee I love it. I wear it A LOT, have washed and hung it up non-stop for months and it still holds up it’s fit. LOVE. IT. I do not get paid to say that. I love how my YT’s make me feel. Period.
The other day I ordered yet another one – the newest style: Undercover. It’s a fair bit longer than the Boyfriend and looks great under a dress or jeans. I wore it under jeans last night on my girl date with Sam when we went to see New Moon.
Anyone who has read this blog for any length of time knows I never pretty much never do product posts, BUT today I get to pass my love for Yummie Tummie on to you in the form of a giveaway. Without a doubt its Smashbox’s photo finish. It makes my skin look dewy fresh and perfect. If I ever went on Survivor, that would be my 1 luxury item or whatever they call it (have never seen a single episode ever.)
So THAT’s why my YT tank doesn’t really suck it in. I am also a Large and I ordered a Large. Apparently I needed a Medium? But what about my DDs? SIGH IT IS SO HARD BEING A GIRL

Hi! It’s Cat from Clever Girls Collective, we manage Yummie Tummie’s social media outreach, and we talk about the size/boob thing all the time!
I’m a large, and sometimes I like a medium, but sometimes the large works better — it all depends on how much sucking in the muffin top I want for the outfit/I feel like wearing.
For the boobs, you can either go for the Strappy by Cup size, which has a built in bra (size goes up to DD), or a style like the Skinny Tank, which is made with a stretch cotton “with more give in the bust” i.e. it won’t squash your girls if you go for the smaller size/more control option.

I always walk a bit taller after getting my hair cut. Its something different and its nice to pretend like everybody notices.
Other than that, it would be freshly shaven legs. I hate that stubbly feel. When my legs are nice and smooth I feel sexier.

I’m usually a wash and go kind of girl, no make up and minimal hairstyling, so when I take the time to put on mascara and flat iron my hair, I feel good

Lately, it’s been actually putting on eye liner and eye shadow. I’ve even gotten comments from my family…”Mom! Your eyebrows look great!” Huh? OH YEAH, you can actually see my eyes.

I wear jewelry (beyond my normal wedding ring and basic gold chain) when I go out for a special evening. That always turns it up a notch for me and makes me feel good.

Date night make-up always makes me feel better. As opposed to regular workday make-up of course. And heels, definitely heels. I have short legs so i can always use the extra heights and it makes my legs look so much better.

Nothing makes me feel sexier than a pair of hot heels. Between heels and some mascara, I could rule the world.

My eyelashes are blonde and so are my eyebrows so I do not leave the house without a gallon of mascara on my lashes. And OF COURSE I curl them too.

It’s all about wearing what I call the “good bra” with low cut shirts. I love it when my boobs look all perky and cute in a top…also, I tend to use my curling iron when I want to be all pretty.

When I actually take the time to put on makeup, the one thing that I always do is put my mascara on last. I’m one of those chicks who loves her… what’s it called? Finishing powder? Whatever it is, I love it a lot, and I always put it all over my face, eyelids/lashes included. That tiny bit of powder on my lashes seems to give them extra oompf when the mascara is on.

I have stick stick stick straight hair, and I like to use this Tigi Bedhead product called “Foxy Curls”. Rub a dollop into wet hair, then flip my hair upside down and blow dry it on low while I’m scrunching. Ten minutes later, rock star hair!

Mine is sexy shoes. They don’t even have to be sexy looking to other people, they just have to be shoes that make me feel special. My black strappy heels, my boots, and the long lost sandals that my dog chewed (I’ll never forget them). When I put those on and take my first few steps, they make me feel more confident, and they’re much easier to put on than spanx.

The one thing I do that makes me feel awesome is once in a while I go get my make up professionally done. I love the way I look and feel after and it gives me tips and tricks for how to do my makeup at home.

If I can get my girls to sit just right in my favorite bra, I can take over the freakin’ world! Having kids has just totally ruined my rack, but when I wear my shaper bra and they look like they did back in college, I have confidence to spare! Shallow, yes I know, but having a guy trip all over himself cause he can’t take his eyes off my chest makes me feel powerful!

I love getting my hair done. I can never make it look as good as the stylist does. If there is no time for the salon then like some of the others I turn to my one fabulous bra that makes my boobs look spectacular!

Well why don’t they tell you on the website that you should order the next size down? I have 2 and I don’t like them at all. They don’t do much for me and they slide up all the time! Argh.
So, hopefully I’ll win this one so I can try out a smaller size and see if I’ll actually understand all the hype!
The thing that makes me feel the best is when my hair looks extra good… nice and straight. And also, my favorite pair of jeans.

I always seem to be running out of the house about 5 minutes after a shower so pretty much ANYTHING is special and makes me feel better. Straightening my hair, nice shoes, a chunky necklace, it’s all good.

I guess the only trick I have is that I almost always wear a camisole, tucked into my jeans, under any shirt. Yes, I have a muffin top, and yes, it looks awful. But it looks LESS awful (when I reach my arm up and my shirt comes up above the waistband of my jeans, which happens all the time), if there is a smooth, colour-matched camisole there, instead of my bare-skinned, lumpy flab.
I normally use 2-for-10-buck Costco camis…a yummy-tummy would probably be a lot better.

I like to wear wide bottomed pants that are a little too long to wear with flat shoes, but with heels they make me look taller and slimmer. Helps me lie to myself about how much I really weigh.

Wow – those look like interesting, I would love to try one out!!
My tip is kind of different – before I start getting ready I make sure my bedroom and bathroom are as clean and tidy as they can be. It just makes me feel better when everything around me looks good too. Then I take in a chilled glass of wine to sip on while I get ready – and any time I can work my high heeled black boots into my going-out outfit, I really feel special!!!

I LOVE my yummie tummie, so when wearing a curve-hugging dress/shirt, it is a must! I just bought a killer sweater dress after hunting for ages for one I loved, and I would not have the confidence to wear it without my yummietummie! I feel very slim and sleek in mine.
My favorite make-up tool is Benefit Bad Girl eyeliner… gives me the perfect sultry, smoky eye without all the fuss. I highly recommend it if you love that look.

Since I usually wear a tanktop beneath everything I ever wear…ever – I really should look into this. Depending on the cut of the tanktop, it generally smooths me out, but occasionally it can just add bulk.

Ok I was at BlogHer and was ticked to find out my tummy wasn’t sucked in like everyone else’s,lol My rolls needed some control! Count me in. My go to feel good about myself thing is mascara. No joke it just makes me feel prettier. I could have sweats on and feel great if my eyelashes are covered

I always wear a great perfume. My collection is vast… If I smell great then I feel great!
Also, I really enjoy Estee Lauder’s Spotlight- it’s a lightweight creme that highlights the best features of your face! (I dab mine beneath my eyes)

For me, its eyeliner and perfume… CoCo by Chanel. I can be dressed in sweat pants and an old tee but if I have my eyes done and have my fav perfume on, I feel like a million bucks.
